I had been searching for months for store bought or DIY entryway lockers in the right size to fit my entryway. I was amazed at how few options there were in big box stores for families of 5, and when I WOULD find an option to fit the needs of our whole family, the price often made me gasp.

I’m sorry, but there is no way I was going to spend $2500 to store our jackets, shoes, and backpacks. No way.

I had created an Entryway Pinterest board to collect some of the ideas I found, and was intrigued by the plans I found adapted from Ana White and the wood-toned bench in this post.

I then begged my very handy dad to build me my design.

Can you hear me squealing?!?!?! I now have room for ALL.THE.THINGS!

Boots, shoes, gloves, and hats are in the baskets. Backpacks and jackets are in the lockers. Important “stuff” like keys are in the top cubby.

Now I can take a seat and put on my shoes without junking up the entire entryway.
