8 “MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU” IDEAS

Next to Christmas and Halloween, May the Fourth is my boys’ favorite holiday. I mean a whole day dedicated to Star Wars? It is a dream come true for them.

We’ve posted a lot about Star Wars over the past few years, and have lots of ideas, big and small to help you celebrate with your Star Wars fans!

CHOOSE 1 OR 2 PARTY IDEAS AND IMPLEMENT ON A SMALL SCALE

This Star Wars party has several ideas you can quickly implement for an impromptu May the Fourth celebration. Buy the kids a cute Star Wars shirt, make Wookie lunch bags for lunch, or paint a canvas together.

GIVE THE KIDS A LIGHTSABER AND PLAY TAG

Pool noodles work great for lightsaber battles because they are soft and easy to hold. Read the rules for lightsaber tag and enjoy a fun battle in the yard!

MAKE A LEGO TRAY FOR

Dress up these dollar store pie trays with some vinyl or colored contact paper – easiest craft and such a convenient place to build LEGOs!

Create a series of tasks or obstacles for your kids to complete to show they are worthy of being a Jedi! Free printable here!

DIY NESTING DOLLS

I made these Star Wars nesting dolls for my son a few Christmases ago, and they are – to this day – one of his favorite possessions!

MAKE UP YOUR OWN STAR WARS ADVENTURES

Our 12-inch Rey figurine from Hasbro has gone on several adventures since arriving at the house.

She snuck through the raspberry bushes to find Han…

Then she used her scavenger skills to get some dinner…

And finally she tamed an AT-AT that tried to sneak up on her in the snow.

These dolls are perfect for the child that loves imaginative play. The details are extraordinary, the limbs move, and she stands on her own! The AT-AT is another Hasbro Playskool Heroes find we bought for my son for Christmas last year – he is lots of fun!

DRESS UP IN COSTUME

Don a Star Wars costume and sneak up on the kids to stage and all out battle!
