Bored the other day, I grabbed some scrabble tiles, some scrapbook paper, and some jewelry clasps and made some necklaces. I am not usually a jewelry maker. I love to wear jewelry, especially slightly quirky jewelry. But, I don’t make it. However, looking for something to do while my nearly 3 year old (yikes!) colored at the table, I started creating.

  1. I collected materials:

– Pretty scrapbook paper
– Mod Podge
– Xacto knife
– Paint brush
– Scrabble tiles

  1. I cut scrapbook paper with an Xacto knife to match the size of the Scrabble tile (I purchased a bag of tiles at Michael’s for $4).
  1. Next, I spread a thin layer of High Gloss Mod Podge on the Scrabble tile and put a 2-3 layers of Mod Podge on top, per instructions on the bottle.
  2. The light in this house is horrible for taking pictures, but below is a picture of the charms.
  3. Last, I added a piece of hemp, and voila.
