Easter used to mean running downstairs to find a basket of sweets and small toys waiting for me on the kitchen table. As a parent, Easter morning is a bit different than those mornings I remember. In particular, I am more conscious of what my children are eating and where those products are made. We do not allow the kids to eat sweet often (candy-filled goody bags from parties are usually confiscated and trashed – with no argument from the kids), but when they do eat sweets we try our best to offer locally-made products.
As a former decade-long Maryland resident, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Goetze’s Candy. On Thursday, March 19th 2015 at 8:30 PM EST, we are hosting a twitter party to share all kinds of fun candy recipes and Easter basket ideas! So as you recover from St. Patty’s Day this week and start to plan for Easter, please join us to talk with one of our favorite American-made candy companies and RSVP to let us know you are joining us for the chance to win some yummy prizes (US only eligible for prizes)!
