List of things my three-year-old is afraid of:
(1) the dark
(2) getting his head wet in the bathtub
(3) losing the electricity
(5) his dog eating his toys
Something my three-year-old was not afraid of: The Halloween Spooktacular at Sesame Place!
Sesame Place invited my family to check out their Halloween Spooktacular last weekend as part of their Media Day event. I had a lot of positive experiences with Sesame Place as a child, but now, as a parent, I can really appreciate the effort that the staff and cast at Sesame Place use to make the park friendly for young children. Every weekend from now until October 28th, Sesame Place will transform into a not-too-spooky Halloween playground, complete with trick-or-treating, hayrides, hay mazes, and Halloween-themed shows. You should definitely consider checking it out.
We started our morning by catching Elmo’s World Live. At 18 months of age, Little Guy is obsessed with Elmo. OBSESSED. His fascination with Elmo began before he ever even saw an episode of Sesame Street. Elmo’s World Live totally lived up to our expectations – the theater was small, so every child had a good view of the stage and the feeling of an up close and personal experience with Elmo and Mr. Noodle. Little Guy was captivated for the entire half hour show.
Here’s a video of some of the fun we had at Sesame Place. The best part is Little Guy’s reaction upon meeting Elmo at the meet-and-greet:
What about this picture of Little Guy eating his Elmo cupcake? I think he liked it.
For the Halloween Spooktacular, guests are encouraged to come in costume! We started the day as a superhero and a wizard, but somehow my husband ended up wearing both outfits for the majority of the day. We had an amazing day, and ended up bringing home a new “best friend” for Little Guy:
“Big Elmo” and Little Guy have been glued to each other ever since…Thank you Sesame Place for the priceless memories you have created for my family!
