Somehow Buddy got the idea that the Easter Bunny is coming to our house on Sunday to eat the eggs out of our refrigerator.  Yes, I was told by my three-year-old to expect an egg-eating herbivore at our house in just three days.

To prepare for the visit, we dyed the eggs using a mixture (per color): 1 tbsp vinegar, 1/2 cup boiling water, and 10 drops of food coloring.  Buddy directed the activity, deciding on what colors our anticipated visitor might like best.  He even dipped the eggs himself – without any accidents!

We decided to hide them around the yard for some egg hunting fun.

Here’s the eggs that remained after Daddy and Buddy raided the stash…five perfectly dyed eggs!
