DIY CHRISTMAS GIFT INSPIRATION FROM ORIENTAL TRADING

At holiday time, we like to find the perfect store-bought treats and pair them with DIY Christmas gifts. I feel that something about producing a gift by hand makes a store-bought gifts more personal. Oriental Trading is one of my favorite places to get blank items for these handmade gifts because of the wide selection, high quality, and affordable options.
DIY CHRISTMAS BOOK CRATE Now that two of the three boys are readers, I decided to display some of our favorite holiday stories for them to explore on their own. Last night, the middle boy sat for an hour, reading stories by the lit up tree. This crate arrived unfinished from Oriental Trading, and I added a little chalk paint with a holiday tree on it. The crate is large enough to fit 20 to 30 picture books on display.
DIY JUNK TRAYS We also decorated some blank carryall trays for members of the family. The boys are excited to wrap up their canvas creations, though I hope they have a sense of humor. Check out this portrait by the baby!
