This weekend we are having a Winter Wonderland party for my soon to be ONE year old (sob, sob!) and I whipped up some cup cozies for our hot cocoa mugs to match the blanket favors I made the children guests!
Here’s how to make your own cup cozies:
1. Cut the Sleeve off a Sweatshirt or Buy Jersey Fleece
I used jersey fleece bought by the yard at the craft store, but a 3-4 inch piece of fabric from the sleeve of an old sweatshirt would work too.
2. Cut a Design on Heat Transfer Vinyl
I used Silhouette’s black Flocked Heat Transfer Vinyl (use my affiliate code KNIGHTS and get 40% off this and other accessories until December 8, 2014) and a snowflake shape from the Silhouette store and then cut it on my Cameo (deals on those here). I feel like the flocked vinyl gives it a warm, velvety feel – perfect for a winter party!
3. Iron It On!
Weed the image and iron it on!
4. Sew Ends Together (if you used fabric by the yard)
5. Slide onto Your Mug and Enjoy

This is adorable, i want one! Would be a great teacher gift or stocking stuffer 🙂

Yes, you need one…you do not need to be very crafty AT ALL to use it. Great for teachers, too!
Cute idea! I’m so doing this.
So, so cute! Love this.
