Right after my husband and I were married, we adopted a sweet and spunky pug that we named “Olive” (as in, olive you).  I’d love to say Olive is the best dog in the world…but I’d be lying.  Quirkiest dog?  She’d win that award, hands down.  Most annoying dog?  She is certainly in the running for that one, too.  However, whenever she has an incident that drives us mad, she looks at us with her huge eyes and smoothy face, and all is forgiven.

GUND is having their first-ever “Top Dog” Contest (running from July 16th to August 15th, 2012) where your dog can get the “Boo” treatment – its likeness being made into a limited edition stuffed toy on sale in stores in 2013.  You can enter your dog in one (or more) of the following four categories on GUND’s Facebook page (under the contest tab):

  • Most Beautiful Dog
  • Ugliest Dog
  • “Doganista”/Best Dressed Dog
  • Dog that Most Resembles its Owner
Entries: July 16-August 5
Voting: August 6-15

Have a dog you think should be entered?  (I am thinking my Dog Nephew, Bentley, and my Dog-in-Law, Murphy Brown, deserve a shot at the prize).

At the same time at the “Top Dog” Contest, GUND is running a “Most Pinteresting Dog” contest on Pinterest.  Customers can post their entry on their pages, “tag” @GUNDMostPinterestingDog and submit the link to GUND at MostPinterestingDog@GUND.com.  The winner of the “Most Pinteresting Dog” contest will be selected based on how many times the entry is liked on the GUND Pinterest board and the winner will received a selection of GUND products valued at $250.

For complete rules on the “Top Dog” Contest and the “Most Pinteresting Dog” Contest, visit www.GUND.com.

So, you think your dog has what it takes?  Are they as “amazing” as Olive, our head-licking, diaper-eating, baby-irritating, toy-hoarding, obnoxiously-loud-snoring pug? If so, head on over and enter. Good luck!

Disclosure: I received a product in exchange for this post.  All ideas and opinions in this post are mine, and I have entered Olive in for a chance to win the “Top Dog” prize!
