My boys are self-proclaimed treasure hunters, so it should come as no surprise that they love Easter more than any other holiday of the year. The hunt for little token-filled eggs makes them shrill with delight. My mom is the queen of Easter basket ideas, and every year she creates adorable baskets that the boys love (she did it for my sister and I as kids, too!).

Here are 25 easy Easter basket ideas that you can try this year!
25 Easy Easter Basket Ideas

  1. Basket that doubles as storage (trashcan, storage cube, wire stuffed animal holder)
  2. Chocco eggs. For fans of the Kinder Eggs videos on youTube, these are the legal US version.
  3. Seasonal washi tape
  4. Spring books. One of my new favorites is a book that was just sent for review called Beatrix Potter and the Unfortunate Tale of a Borrowed Guinea Pig. The boys loved this based-on-true-life story of the time Beatrix Potter borrowed her neighbor’s guinea pig to draw it — and well, you can guess what happens. Deborah Hopkinson’s writing is quite funny in this tale, and it is a sweet and humorous (albeit slightly morbid) tale that will captivate young readers.True Story of Beatrix Potter
  5. Star Wars Command figurines
  6. A witty shirt
  7. Coin-filled plastic eggs
  8. Itty Bittys from Hallmark
  9. Small LEGO sets
  10. Gel Pens
  11. Nesting dollsnesting doll
  12. Movie tickets
  13. QIXELS
  14. Shopkins
  15. Crazy socks
  16. Flash Charms
  17. A special photo
  18. Plush Craft project – I just found these and think that they are GENIUS for young crafters.
  19. Disney Trading Pins
  20. Free LEGO club magazine subscription
  21. Nail polish
  22. Puzzles
  23. Hot Wheels
  24. Cozy sweatpants
  25. Hop movie
