Full House was a huge part of my childhood. If you asked me to name 10 of my favorite things about growing up in the 80’s, Full House would most definitely be on that list. For Generation Y and older Millennials, TGIF on ABC was a fixture in our homes.

We grew up with this family – every milestone I hit in life, DJ and the Gibbler hit them with me. My sister, a few years younger, identified with Stephanie. On screen, these characters helped us through the awkwardness of growing up – and now that we’re grown, will we continue to watch them?

As a Netflix #StreamTeam member, I have been following their news on the release of Fuller House all year. Now that we are less than a month away from binge time, I want to share my top 6 reasons for NOT watching Fuller House.

6 Reasons Why You Should Definitely Not Watch Fuller House on Netflix.

1. Don’t Watch Fuller House if You Don’t Have Tissues on Hand.

Jon Bon Jovi said, “Who says you can’t go home.” Well, for many of us Fuller House will be like coming back home after years of not seeing our tV “family”. I don’t know about you, but I will need tissues to make it through this series.

2. Don’t Watch Fuller House if You Never Wondered What Happened to the Tanners.

If you finished the last episode of Full House nearly 21 years ago – you remember the one where Michelle has a horrible horseback riding accident and DJ struggles over Prom dates (and then Steve reappears!??!) – and HAVEN’T wondered what happened as the girls grew up, than why bother watching? On the other hand, watch anyway – you are sure to remember why you loved the original series so much.

3. Don’t Watch Fuller House if You Can’t Stand Another “Have Mercy.”

Judging from the previews, we are in for at least one “Have Mercy” from Uncle Jessie. Hopefully there will be many more of their quirky saying and impressions.

4. Don’t Watch Fuller House if You Dislike Children.

DJ Tanner Fuller, now widowed, and her children are back in the Tanner house, and she is enlisting the help of Kimmy (and her child) and Stephanie to help raise her little ones.

5. Don’t Watch Fuller House if You Can’t Find a Bestie to Share in the Fun.

Nearly every Friday night in elementary and middle school my bestie Theresa would come over to watch TGIF and movies with me. Grab your childhood best friend and throw a girls’ night to binge-watch the new series!

6. Don’t Watch Fuller House starting February 26th.
