When they hand you your baby boy in the hospital, he looks so sweet and innocent. Now, three boys later, I realize that little boys are certainly sweet, but they are exceptionally hungry little beasts! Anyone who has ever visited our house knows that there is never extra food around for impromptu snacking – a fact that can be really awkward when you have a couple kids over for a playdate and everyone decides their are hungry. Yes, I was the mom that offered the kids dry cereal for snack.
My husband and I do our best to feed our family organic produce and meat. What we don’t grow organically in the garden, we buy at our local Giant Food store.

We have used Giant’s Nature Promise line for several years, but we were really excited to see that they had expanded the Nature’s Promise Organic and Free line to feature over 800 products.

Living in a small town, our local GIANT is a hub of the community. It seems as though I know at least half of the folks who work there by name, and walking the aisles is a game of “how many folks will I know?” The kids love coming to the store in hopes of seeing a former teacher, classmate, or family friend. They also love coming to sneak a few favorites into the cart – like these Nature’s Promise Veggie Sticks.

Feeding a family of 5 can be expensive, and I like that there are choices like GIANT’s Nature’s Promise line that makes it easy and affordable to make healthier-for-us choices with organic and “free-from” products. The free-from packaging has been particularly promising for me, because in an effort to be more transparent, GIANT has removed the word “natural” and now makes it so consumers can clearly see what is NOT in the products. Sometimes artificial ingredients are hid in the ingredients, but these labels let me know what I can expect not to be in the items I buy!

I love GIANT for a secret reason, too. Growing up in Philly, we called grocery stores, “food stores”. When I moved to Maryland, my friends thought that was silly. Well GIANT Food Stores has my back – in both name and in providing affordable organic and Free-From products for my whole family.

Do you shop at Giant? I would love to provide you with the chance to try out some of their Nature’s Promise products for yourself! I have a $25 gift card to give away to one lucky reader 18 or older from the 48 contiguous US states.
