With three little boys, I have become well-reaquainted with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Most of the time I feel pretty clueless about boy toys, but the turtles I get. You see, I remember going to see the original movie in the theater as a child and loving it myself. So, you can imagine why I find the TMNT’s revival as somewhat exciting.
Are you still looking for a few last-minute, stocking stuffer-style gifts for your kids? There are lots of fun TMNT gifts available that your kids will love at a reasonable price. i bought several of these between my middle son and my 4-year old nephew – our two biggest TMNT fans.
The Stretch and Shout Leonardo is so much fun! It reminds me a little of Stretch Armstrong (was that his name?) from my childhood days. Toys”R”Us sent us a Stretch and Shout Leonardo to share in our gift guide, and my middle guy chose him to give as his gift to his big brother for Christmas. However, judging by the way he is hugging Leo, something tells me that he is going to cry when he gives it to his brother!
So, Stretch and Shout Leonardo was really a pretty cool toy from a kids’ perspective. You can pull his arms and he yells fun sayings at you. Each time my son pulled he laughed harder and harder, a sign it is a successful toy.
I was impressed with it’s size and the fact that it could stand up alone. My son also liked that since the arms were bendy, he could really use the swords.
This book is going into one of the boys’ stockings this year. I love the Step into Reading books for my little guys.
My kids are really into Imaginext, so I was really excited to see Imaginext-sized (note: NOT Fisher Price Imaginext Brand) TMNTs for my preschooler’s little hands. They come with cool vehicles and props, a must for my little guys.
4. TMNT Hoodie
I mean, how cute would your kid look in this hoodie, right? Maybe it wouldn’t be such a struggle to get him dressed if he had the option to wear this.
I am a HUGE fan of the LEGO Juniors sets which use the regular-sized LEGO bricks to make easy-to-build options for kids just starting out. My three year old likes these sets so that he can build just like his big brother. This set is adorable and a good price!
Disclosure: Toys”R”Us provided the Stretch and Shout Leonardo for my gift guide. My opinions were in no way influenced as part of this relationship.
