GO WILD! HOW TO HOST A SLOTH PARTY

Reading time: 2 Minutes

My guys are really into choosing themes for their birthday parties. They often start the planning months in advance, scrolling through Pinterest with me and brainstorming ideas.

However, for his 6th birthday, my middle son threw me for a loop.

He was absolutely insistent on hosting a sloth-themed birthday party. Yes, sloths. Forget that most six year olds and the majority of their parents have relatively little knowledge or interest in sloths. He wanted a sloth party – and no theme was going to sway him away from his dream party.

We settled on hosting the party at Urban Air, a local trampoline park. That meant I only had to worry about favors and place settings, since we could only bring in cupcakes or a cake to the venue.

SLOTH PARTY FAVORS
The favors for the sloth party used a flower pot from the dollar store as a base.

A cute Valentine’s Day plush sloth from Oriental Trading was my inspiration for the favors.

I added some of our family’s heirloom basil seeds and used my Silhouette CAMEO to design a personalized pillow case for each child.

SLOTH TABLE SETTING
We used the favors to line the middle of the provided party table and “jazz” it up a bit.
