While my youngest was napping today, I decided to raid the cabinets and my berry garden for ingredients to make a refreshing afternoon drink. Hamilton Beach had recently sent me their Wave Action blender to try, and I decided to make a green tea smoothie – a favorite!
I really loved the features of this blender. It has a pour top lid and a bunch of settings – puree, mix, chop/dice, and grind (ice). I found it super easy to clean compared the other blenders I have used, too.
Raspberry-Pineapple Green Tea Smoothie Recipe
- Ice (fill 1/2 blender)
- 12 Ounces of Green Tea, chilled
- Raspberries (1/3 – 1/2 pint)
- Pineapple Juice (to taste)
- Milk (approx. 1/2 cup)
- Add milk and ice to the blender. Grind.
- Add green tea, pineapple juice, and most of the raspberries to the mixture. Puree.
- Pour into a glass and style it with a few raspberries on the rim. Add a straw and drink up!
This blender can make salsa, soup, and all kinds of other recipes that I usually make in my food processor. I am going to try my favorite salsa as soon as my jalapeños are ready for harvest next week.
