How We Stream Ourselves Smarter

I love the age of on-demand viewing. Instead of desperately waiting all week for a favorite show, I binge one show completely, then move on to the next. I also love to watch shows that allow me to learn more about my world – I am particularly interested in nature/animal shows and (thanks to my kids) treasure hunting shows. When you think about it, in the age of Netflix, Google, and Siri, we can find answers to our biggest questions through a quick text or voice search. In just the past week, for instance, I have answered many of my life’s biggest problems via searches such as:

Stick Dog book (added to the Christmas list)

Pulisic Jersey (where to find a youth jersey that is not a fortune)

When to pick a cucumelon (I grew them and then did not know what to do with them)

What are the 10 plagues? (the frogs came out on the Harvest moon and littered our street as they got run over. I wanted to know what plague to look for next.)

corbaci pepper recipes (another “I grew, now what” question)

How to evolve red Gyrados in Pokemon GO (my boys NEEDED to know)

cow nose art (I think I saw a cool poster in a restaurant I wanted to find)

When you are watching a show, do you Google for more information? I am notorious for Googling mid-movie when watching things that are “based on a true story”. I want the play-by-play – what parts are true and which are made up?

Just in time for the release of Stranger Things 2 on Netflix, I am able to offer a STRANGER giveaway! No one should binge alone, so this month Netflix is offering Daze and Knights readers a chance to win a 3-month subscription for themselves AND a friend who doesn’t have Netflix. To enter, head on over to my Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/dazeknights/ and tag a friend without Netflix to enter both you and your friend. Both winners must be 18+ and legal residents of the United States.

Giveaway ends October 22, 2017 at 12:00 AM EST. Winner will be selected by Random.org and be notified by email. Winner have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is selected. Please note that Daze and Knights is not responsible for sponsors that do not fulfill their prizes.  The product offered for the giveaway is free of charge, no purchase necessary. Our opinions are our own and were not influenced by any form of compensation. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google+ are in no way associated with this giveaway.
