In our basement, we have a “Mom Cave” instead of a man cave. Buddy and Little Guy love to hang out in this room, dubbed “Mom’s Workshop” by the boys. Sometimes they help me with my crafts, while other times we do kids’ crafts together.
Recently Craftprojectideas.com sent over a generous box of kid-friendly craft supplies for my boys. Since it was around Mardi Gras, the boys immediately wanted to make some masks with the plastic masks and fine glitter.
We painted on the masks with acrylic paint, and then jazzed them up with some glitter from the Craftprojectsideas.com Neon Glitter Shakers variety pack. The glitter was fine and perfectly sparkly – I totally have a few “Mommy projects” in mind for the leftover glitter (think the kids will notice?).
Buddy has also been interested in addition and subtraction, so I used the pony beads to create a counting manipulative for him to use.
