If you read this blog regularly, you know we specialize in parties! We love all of the details that make a party special. My friends at Netflix know that as busy parents, personalized party planning can sometimes be overwhelming. That’s why they have released Birthdays on Demand, videos of your child’s favorite characters singing happy birthday.
With 15 choices, including Pokémon, My Little Pony, Dinotrux, LEGO Ninjago, and more – there is something for everyone in your house! My middle guy just celebrated his half birthday – and as you know, half birthdays are VERY important when you are little. The Pokémon gang greeted him to sing Happy (half) Birthday to him…what big smiles we got!
I love the recent survey Netflix put out where parents weighed in about their biggest concerns about planning kids’ parties. It is outstanding that 75% of parents feel pressure to have a perfect party. I know that I am one that goes over the top on favors and decor – but really that is for me. As a former teacher, my college students have no interest in me theming my classroom – it would really be quite absurd! However, parties are a place I can have a little fun and let my creative juices flow. Now, I might have some envy over those who have party perfect food – I am NOT capable in the kitchen at all! In fact, if it wasn’t for my husband my kids would probably never eat.
And oh the expense! I am one who likes to include everyone, but have started to plan at home parties because $25/kid for my boys 20 besties is overwhelming. Apparently lots of other moms are feeling this pinch, too! Luckily the Netflix On Demand Birthdays come included in my subscription – I will definitely get use out of this service three times a year!
Which Netflix On Demand Birthday do you think your little ones would like best?
