Disclosure: This post is part of the Healthy Essentials 2014 program by Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies and The Motherhood, who sent me a box of products and compensated me for my time. Opinions, experiences and photos shared here are all my own, and I hope you enjoy them. #Moms4JNJConsumer

As a kid, I spent all summer, every summer (from ages 5-22!) at camp. Camp is part of who I am – from the best of friends and Ga-Ga matches to earwigs in my swim shoes and bug bites on my legs.

My oldest will have his first real camp experience soon, and I have been packing his bag with all of the must-have camp supplies for day camp success.

Pack for Day Camp

Essentials for Day Camp

  • Swimsuit (or two)
  • Extra clothing (shirt, shorts, socks, undies)
  • Towel
  • Sweatshirt
  • Long pants
  • Sunscreen (apply before you go, apply more after swim!)
  • Goggles
  • Band-Aids
  • Neosporin
  • Water bottle
  • Water shoes
  • Sneakers
  • Hat
  • Plastic bag for wet clothes
  • Backpack

As part of the #Moms4JNJConsumer campaign, Johnson & Johnson has provided me with all kinds of Healthy Essentials for my family to use this summer to prepare for minor mishaps that can occur when we are out and about enjoying the Pennsylvania summers.  Since this is Buddy’s first summer at camp, we expect he will have his fair share of bumps and bruises – I mean, seriously, have you seen camps nowadays? GoKarts, Zip lines, and every sport imaginable…while exciting and entertaining, the kids are sure to get scrapes that will need some attention.
