When babyGap throws a party, they sure do it right. Toddlers from the Main Line were treated to a fabulous, pin-worthy bash complete with festive Easter food, an art table, springtime swag, and a celebrity guest.
The pint-sized fashionistas and trendy tots attending the party nibbled on gorgeous garden-themed cupcakes and potted carrots in hummus dip.
Their grown up escorts browsed the clothes in the new line (for girls, for boys) while the little ones socialized amongst themselves. The spring dresses were a huge hit with many attendees as were the retro farmer looks for baby boys, and I decided that I’d love a cardigan in the yellow featured in this collection. The manager even brought a rocking chair for me to sit on while I read The Further Tale of Peter Rabbit, and laid out a foam floor for the kiddos to sit on so that they would be comfortable while listening to the book.
Little Guy was thrilled to meet the celebrity visitor – Peter Rabbit himself! The kids were also treated to some adorable bunny ears – blue for boys and pink for girls! (Both my almost 4 yo and my almost 2 yo rocked their ears for hours after the event).
I was so impressed with the creativity and style of Gap Kids King of Prussia’s manager, Sarah. She knew how to please parents and kids, and threw a fun, low-pressure event for her littlest customers. I’d love to see babyGap and Gap Kids start to do more parent-child themed events – I’d certainly attend!
We collected book donations for Milk + Bookies, too! I donated four new books that I thought kids might like – my boys even got to illustrate a book plate for each of the books!
Guests of the event were entered into a raffle to win Gap gift cards and copies of The Further Tale of Peter Rabbit. The raffle added a celebratory aspect to the party, and attendees were thrilled with the chance to win a prize.
My friend, Jeannette, from EcoIncognito stopped by with her two daughters and she wrote about her experience here! Hop on over to her page to see another perspective on this festive event.
Thank you to Gap and Milk + Bookies for inviting me to be a reader at their event – and thank you to the parents and tots who came out to support the launch of the new Peter Rabbit line at babyGap!
I love everything about this party! Can’t wait to have kids to go to these kind of events!
