SPORTY KID? HERE ARE THE BEST PICKS FOR 2016

Reading time: 2 Minutes

One of my boys is super sporty and it makes it difficult to find holiday gifts for him. The kid is happy with a soccer ball, net, and jerseys – but once you own those, what else is there to give? I have found some great alternative options this year for the sporty kid on your list.

NHL ADVENT CALENDAR

This NHL Hockey advent calendar is a great supplement to the full-sized Playmobil hockey arena that we have and LOVE. He is receiving the advent calendar as a wrapped gift on Christmas day this year…it will just be 24 tiny boxes to open!

NINJALINE

The Ninjaline is a household favorite. My can-never-get-enough sports guy can be seen hanging from it for hours a day. The neighborhood kids come over and challenge themselves across the line. Totally a worthwhile purchase if you have two trees to hang it from!

CARPET SKATES

These carpet skates from PlaSmart were an immediate hit. We are taking ice skating lessons this season, and these allow us to bring the ice into the house.

Note: How do you all keep the playroom clean? It always looks like a hazard zone to me!

INDOOR PUCK

For hockey loving kids like mine, this indoor Carpet Puck is a lifesaver. They play, and my walls don’t get damaged! Win win.

TETHERBALL

As a kid at camp, tetherball was THE THING for us to do. I could play a mean game back in the day, and at this price I am so tempted to add a court to the backyard for the boys!

NINTENDO CLASSIC NES – BECAUSE TECMO BOWL!

The unicorn of this holiday season, I have been on a mad hunt for this console – stocked with 30 of my favorite games from childhood!

BEAMO

This huge flying disc is something we play with daily. BOY does it fly! The colors on this one are a nod to Pokemon, too, eh?

SOCCER NET

All day, every day my oldest is practicing shots on his soccer goal. We bought this last year and it stays outside year round – it is still holding up great!

TRAVEL BINGO

Since we do long drives several times a year, Travel Bingo keeps us busy. We like these ones with transparent sliders from Plasmart!

What other ideas do you have for sporty kids?
