…by deciding to buy them a Creative Playthings fort. I am not sure who was more into the equipment – King Phekus who tested out each slide as he excitedly chattered about sleeping in the fort under the stars or Buddy as he raced down each slide or Little Guy who munched on the AstroTurf the Creative Playthings store was sporting. Since Creative Playthings was having a massive Columbus Day sale, we decided to
pimp out accessorize the play structure with:
* 5 by 7 foot Lexington fort with wooden roof
* 2 slides
* Cargo net
* Tower with wooden roof
* 2 story rock wall
* Plank with rope
* Access ladders
* Periscope, Binoculars, captain’s wheel, and telescope
We are deciding whether to add the swings or not. We envision this structure as a “hang out” which will grow with the boys. Therefore, we are concerned the swings make it more babyish. Yet since it is modular, the swing set can become disconnected once it becomes time.
Whatever we choose, I know Buddy will like it. He raced up and down the slides for the entire 45 minutes we were at the store – burning off so much energy that he fell asleep AS he was eating dinner. With food in his mouth. How does that even happen?
Check out a more basic option of what we are thinking here…would your kids like to play in this? Should I worry about broken bones? Suggestions are welcome!
