One of the “side effects” of blogging is that my photography has greatly improved over the last 3 years…it started with a Christmas gift from my husband last year (a Canon Rebel T3i). Then I added an external flash, which was a game changer for taking photos in my low-light home. This year, I have a few new lenses and an eye-fi card on my list to make photography even easier.

I’ll admit, I still take photos on automatic mode 90% of the time. I am really going to switch over to manual mode soon – and hopefully you’ll be here to be a part of my journey.

On a whim, my friends Sarah (from Finnegan and the Hughes), Devon (from Mama Cheaps), and I decided we wanted to start a weekly linky party where all of our readers – bloggers and non-bloggers – could participate. We love scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, and blogs looking at the gorgeous, funny, and sometimes offbeat photos you share – and we would love for you to be able to share them with a larger audience!

We are calling our party She Snapped, because we snap with our camera – and, well, let’s face it – we occasionally feel like we are going to snap as we orchestrate the day for our young families. Each Wednesday, we’ll share a photo prompt, and we’ll encourage you to try to capture a related photo over the next few days. You can share it on Instagram, Facebook, or your blog (just tag #SheSnapped), and we’ll encourage you to link up below so others can see what you snapped!

This week, our topic is….

“Fall into Family”

What’s that mean? Well, its Fall…and you likely have someone you call family – whether it is your children, significant other, pet, co-workers, the nature around you…Share whatever makes sense to you (just please keep it clean. Any links to inappropriate images will be removed).

Make sure to visit my #SheSnapped co-hosts to see what creative images they snapped this week!

For this week’s prompt, I snapped my middle son playing soccer since our family spends 2 days a week in Fall on the fields. Little Guy is tiny and his uniform looks like a dress on him…but he LOVES running around, playing games, and kicking the ball. It brings me such joy to watch him play soccer.

Now it is your turn! Share the URL to your blog post image or Instagram photo using the link up tool below. For Instagram, click the […] under the photo to “Copy Share URL”. The put that link below so we can all see (and follow!) you. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #SheSnapped and tag @DiaperedKnights, @MamaCheaps, and @Finnegan_Hughes.

We can’t wait to see what you snapped!
