GIFTS FOR BINGE-WATCHING BOYS

Disclosure: Hasbro provided products to facilitate this post. All opinions expressed within are my own and have not been influenced in any way.
If you are a regular reader of Daze and Knights, you know we are total Netflix addicts. The boys are known to binge on their favorite series during “quiet time” (our way of extending naps way into the elementary years). I love that companies like one of my favorites, Hasbro, add opportunities for my kids to extend their imagination beyond the screen and into the playroom with Netflix gifts boys will love.
YO-KAI WATCH
Yo-Kai Watch is one of my 5 year old’s favorite shows, and Hasbro has given him a way to combine his love of collectors cards, games, and the show’s creative characters with this set of collector cards that has specific instructions for game play geared toward both kids and adults.

TRANSFORMERS
Transformers totally fascinate my boys. Something about going from machine to robot to machine again keeps them busy for hours. The Power Surge Optimus Prime is sure to be a huge hit this year!

SKYLANDERS ACADEMY
The addition of Skylanders Academy to Netflix, has been one of my boys’ favorite finds of Fall. You know they will be finding the new Skylanders Imaginators under the tree!

FOR BREAKS BETWEEN EPISODES
Bop It! is one of our favorite ways to add a little activity between episodes. Following a chain of commands to bop, sing, drink, twist, hammer, golf, saw, and more.

Although the boys spend lots of time outside playing sports, tag, and just being kids, they need downtime to just binge, too. As my kindergartener transitioned out of daily naps, he still exhibited behaviors that made it clear that he still needed to put his feet up. However, as a stubborn 5 year old, he was going to resist the idea of a nap with every ounce of his energy. However, when we began suggesting that he rest and watch Netflix, he jumped at the chance. Now, he’ll still fall asleep at least once a week after school, but we don’t call it a nap!
What are your kids’ favorite shows to watch in their downtime?
